We use it to backup /etc /var/lib/pgsql/backups and other directories which will fit on a single CDRW disc. For a project to backup an entire system see mondo. The reason that I dont use mondo is that it is more than I need. This is a simple script that does a fairly simple job. Mondo also has stability issues (IMHO).
